Our CommunityLike the Oak in our name, our school is Rooted and Growing. At Oak Hill Montessori, our celebration of growth through learning and doing is rooted in four decades of solid achievement: achievements of students, families, teachers, staff and of the whole school as a vital and evolving organism. That evolution into an exemplary Montessori community is sustained by a rich and creative flow of resources:
The health, growth and vitality of Oak Hill Montessori—as a haven for creative expression, independent growth and optimal learning for our students—is a tribute to the generous devotion of time, talent and financial support from the hundreds of individuals that form the Oak Hill Community. We strongly encourage all parents to be actively involved in making Oak Hill Montessori an exceptional educational experience for your children. What Does it Mean to be an Independent School? Oak Hill Montessori, as a private, nonprofit, independent school, has the freedom to determine its own direction and standards. Our school was founded with a clear and distinct educational mission, and is run by a Board of Directors that makes decisions regarding the school's current operations and future direction in support of that mission. As is the case for most independent schools, tuition does not cover all of the expenses involved in running and growing our school. We rely on the generous support of the Oak Hill Community to ensure that Oak Hill Montessori continues to thrive and grow.
