Attend Prospective Parent Meeting/Admissions Event

All new/prospective parents are required to attend a Prospective Parent Meeting (without your children). We also encourage you to attend level-specific Admissions Events. These meetings and events provide in-depth information about our programs and admissions process.

Submit Application Materials

Toddler Community & Children's House

If you are applying for the Toddler Community or Children's House programs, please complete the Application for Admission and appropriate Child's Profile.

Elementary & Junior High

If you are applying for the Elementary or Junior High Programs please call the Office at 651-484-8242 for application information prior to sending in any application materials.

All Programs

Send your application materials, (including Application for Admission, Child's Profile and any additional forms) along with a non-refundable $100.00 application fee, to Oak Hill Montessori c/o Admissions. All application materials must be received and complete prior to Friday, March 20, 2009 for Children's House, Elementary  and Junior High in order to be included in the first round of admissions decisions.

Additional Forms (Elementary, Junior High)

Parents of Elementary and Junior High applicants who are not currently enrolled at Oak Hill will be asked to sign a record release form and deliver it to your child's current school office. This form authorizes your child's present school to send Oak Hill a copy of school records. Additionally, you will be asked to deliver a confidential student evaluation form to your child's current teacher. Your child's school records and completed student evaluation form must be received by Friday, March 20, 2009 for Elementary and Junior High in order for your child to be included in the first round of admissions decisions.

Attend Admissions Visit Day (Children's House, Elementary)

If your child is not currently enrolled at Oak Hill and you are applying to Children's House, Elementary and/or Junior High programs, you and your child will be invited to a short visit to our school on Friday, March 27, 2009. During this visit, children will visit the classrooms in small groups with teachers while parents attend a required admissions orientation session. We are requesting applications be received by March 10 for Elementary and  Children's House.

NOTE: Children who are currently enrolled in the Oak Hill Community will NOT participate in this visit day. Rather, they will visit the classrooms individually. Parents, however, ARE asked to join the admissions orientation session on March 27, 2009.

Receive Notification of Admissions Decision

Admissions decisions are made by the Head of School and the teaching staff. These decisions are based on many factors: thorough completion of all components of the application process, school transcripts (for elementary and junior high), and the needs of our existing classrooms. In all cases, admissions decisions will be mailed on April 3,2009.

Return Enrollment Contract and Tuition Deposit

If a position is offered to your child, you must return your signed Enrollment Contracts and a tuition deposit to Oak Hill by April 17, 2009. Upon receipt of your tuition deposit, we will hold a place for your child in our program and you will be contractually obligated for the year’s tuition. The school will forgive tuition after a withdrawal only if we are able to replace the student with an equivalent applicant from our waiting pool.

Oak Hill Enrollment Waiting Pool

If your child is not offered a position in our program in April, you may wish to be placed in our waiting pool. We occasionally experience withdrawals during the summer and urge parents to remain in this waiting pool. Children in the waiting pool for the current year must reapply the following year. The $100 application fee need not be paid again.
