Elements: Pines

The Pines

This existing area has been the primary source of creative play, providing natural shelters and climbing to the students. The continued use of this area for creative play will be encouraged, while the climbing of trees will continue to be discouraged. Under-story shrubs will be planted to replace undesired vegetation, providing shielding along the west fence and natural forts. The props stored under the stage staircase will be allowed to be brought back and forth into the pines for temporary construction activities. This is an opportunity for children to create and manipulate their environment.
