Acorns to Archivers: Julie Marko
The focus of this
group is fun, camaraderie, and creativity. Using scrapbooking
methods, this works together to record our school’s memories with a
creative and artistic flourish. |

Alumni Relations: Chairperson wanted

As our school
grows, so does the list of people who have contributed to its
success over the years. To make sure our alumni are able to stay
connected to their Oak Hill roots, we need volunteers to
maintain a database. This committee will also ensure that alumni
receive appropriate information about upcoming events (such as the
Auction) and publications (such as Presentations). |

Auction: Paul and Sarah Hamel
So many
opportunities, so little time—the auction need lots of volunteers to
ensure the success of this vital and exciting “fun”-raising event.
The auction committee needs people to develop business
solicitations, coordinate family donations, prepare invitations,
plan the venue, prepare a catalog, and many other things. |

Cultural Awareness: Marina Brockway /
Co-chair needed
To foster
awareness, appreciation, understanding, and respect of all the
heritages represented within our school and to celebrate the
richness this diversity brings to our daily lives, this committee
plans enriching events for all who share in our school community. |

Garden Club: Currently Inactive (contact
OHMPA president if interested in reviving this group)
A semi-social
group, the Garden Club ensures the beauty of our outdoor
environment. The club needs many volunteers to maintain the already
established gardens and to plan for new projects as our school
continues to enhance its outdoor learning areas. In addition, the
group hosts speakers, plant exchanges, or other events as interests. |

Guys Club: Currently Inactive (contact

The goal of this
committee is to encourage the active involvement of guys in the OHM
community by organizing events for Oak Hill’s guys and by increasing
the participation of the men of our community in all school events. |

Helping Hands: Cindy Glenn
This “go to” group
helps school staff and administration when various miscellaneous
volunteers are needed. Volunteer here and you’ll directly support
the work of our school by helping with school events/projects such
as picture day and hearing and vision screening day. |

Hospitality: Joy Alizadeh and Michelle
Jeppesen
Our hospitality
volunteers create the foundation for community at Oak Hill.
The group of 3 co-chairs will share the responsibilities of
maintaining hospitality supplies and facilitating initial event
planning meetings and contacting volunteers (based on interests
indicated on volunteer forms) to help with various events. |

Parent Education:

After assessing
the parent community education needs, this committee creates
opportunities for parents to gain relevant parenting/Montessori
education information by presenting speakers and hosting book
discussions. |

Welcoming: Martha Rosenquist and Sue Miller
Remember how it
felt when your family first came to Oak Hill--so many traditions to
learn about like the Winter Solstice Celebration and the Spring
Auction. This committee brings together current and new families so
that our community continues to thrive. |

Yearbook: Elizabeth Lewen and Wyatt Stahl
Working throughout
the year to gather photos and memories for the yearbook, this
committee creates a publication that is treasured by families for
years to come. The committee needs people from all levels
interested in photography, graphic design, and organizing
publications. |
